
Hilary Knight Makes USA History, 2026 Olympic Women's Hockey Group Standings Ahead of KO Bracket
The United States women's hockey team produced its second straight rout in group play at the 2026 Winter Olympics on Saturday.
Team USA defeated Finland, 5-0, to move to 2-0 in Group A play.

Hilary Knight tied the record for goals scored by an American woman in Olympic hockey play with her second-period tally.
Knight's goal was one of two scored by the Americans on the power play.
Alex Carpenter's opener in the first period came in 5-on-4 action.
Taylor Heise and Megan Keller bagged goals of their own at even strength in the second period to open up the advantage.
Keller was involved in three of the four American goals. She produced a pair of assists on the two power-play tallies.
Abbey Murphy added a fifth American goal late in the third period.
The Americans have outscored their two Olympic opponents by a 10-1 margin. The goal differential is expected to rise once again on Monday against Switzerland.
All five teams from Group A advance to the quarterfinals, but the seeding order for the knockout round is determined by group stage results.
Team USA's biggest rival, Canada, begins its quest for a gold medal later on Saturday against Switzerland. The USA and Canada are expected to meet in the gold medal game. They face each other in the group stage on Tuesday.
