
Taylor Swift Sends Video Message to Olympic Athletes Ahead of 2026 Games, Opening Ceremonies
Olympic athletes are going to have quite a famous fan cheering for them during the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics.
Music superstar Taylor Swift filmed a video message for the athletes as part of NBC's coverage of Friday's Opening Ceremonies.

"Hi, it's Taylor," she said. "I just wanted to send a message to all the athletes that are competing in the Olympics. I just wanted to say thank you. Getting to learn your stories and see everything that you've sacrificed, and all your determination and hard work and passion. Everything that's gotten you to this point, where you're so excellent at something.
"It's just really inspiring, and I am very grateful for everything you've done to get to this point in your life. And grateful that you've brought us all along with you on this journey so we get to watch you do this. And I just hope that you have a wonderful Olympic games. Wishing you all the best of luck, and a safe journey, and I hope that this is an experience that you will cherish for the rest of your life."
Swift's love for the Olympics and her support of the athletes is no secret.
Ahead of the 2024 Paris Games, NBC used her song "...Ready for It?" in a promotional video.
Escher Walcott of People noted Swift shared the clip on social media and wrote, "So ready to scream at my TV cheering for these athletes."
Swift also released a promo video for the 2024 Paris Olympics that hyped up United States athletes Simone Biles, Katie Ledecky, and Sha'Carri Richardson.
This time around she and other Americans tuning into the Games will get the chance to cheer for headliners such as skier Lindsey Vonn, snowboarder Chloe Kim, skier Mikaela Shiffrin and figure skater Ilia Malinin.
