Patriots Star Will Campbell Reveals His 'Most Irrational Fear in Life' Ahead of Super Bowl 60

Joseph ZuckerFeb 5, 2026

As the starting left tackle for the New England Patriots, Will Campbell is accustomed to battling the best pass-rushers in the NFL. A much smaller foe actually strikes fear in the heart of the 2025 first-round pick.

During media day ahead of Super Bowl LX, Campbell divulged cats are his "most irrational fear in life." It dates back to when he was staying at a friend's house as a teenager.

"I went in the room that I was sleeping in, it was pitch black dark," he said. "You couldn't see your hand in front of your face. I take my shirt off, I'm about to get in bed, and I just hear [a screech] and it jumps out from under this bed and onto my leg."

Campbell added he "booted that thing onto the ceiling" because the cat was biting him.

In light of the revelation, the Patriots have to be breathing a sigh of relief they're not matching up with the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
