Terrell Owens Gives Hot Take on Tom Brady's Hall of Fame Candidacy After Bill Belichick, Kraft Snubs
Terrell Owens had a wild take about Tom Brady and the Hall of Fame on Wednesday.
"Honestly, if you're looking at it, if Belichick doesn't go in and Robert Kraft doesn't go in first ballot, Brady shouldn't go in," Owens opined on Super Bowl LX Radio Row, per Edward Lewis of the New York Post. "I'm just being real. It's nothing against him. How can you have Brady go in when he's up in 2028? Why would he go in if Robert Kraft and Bill Belichick don't go in on the first go-around? Because to be quite honest, yeah, is Brady a good quarterback? Yeah. He's not the quarterback he is without Kraft drafting him. He's not the quarterback he is without Belichick. They all go hand-in-hand. So to me, why would he go in and those two don't? He shouldn't go in either."

Biggest Questions Surrounding 2026 NFL Season After the Draft 🤔
This is a silly take on a number of fronts (and we aren't even going to touch on the highly debatable claim that Brady wouldn't have been the same player with a different franchise).
First, two wrongs don't make a right, and there's little reason to punish Brady because Hall of Fame voters made a controversial decision regarding Belichick and Kraft.
But Hall of Fame voting is also far different for player candidates than it is for coaches or owners. Belichick and Kraft, for instance, were lumped together in the contributors, coaches and senior players category, and only three such candidates can be inducted per year.
Up to five modern-era voting players can be selected for induction, however, and it's hard to imagine any voter bypassing Brady for another player. While many voters perhaps felt compelled to vote on senior players this year before they potentially disappeared from the ballot—assuming Belichick and Kraft would either get in this year or certainly in the future—no voter is going to face that potential conflict when it comes to Brady.
