Joe Burrow Clarifies He's Happy With Bengals, References Viral Press Conference Video Comments

Joe Burrow raised plenty of eyebrows around the NFL in December when he suggested after a 39-34 loss against that he might not be having fun playing football any longer, or at the very least needed to be having fun to continue playing.

Speculation quickly mounted that Burrow might be unhappy in Cincinnati, though he just as swiftly denied that talk. And during the Pro Bowl on Tuesday night he suggested he was just having a bad day when he made those initial remarks:

Folks in Cincinnati will breathe a sigh of relief hearing him say that, given he's the cornerstone of the franchise and one of the best quarterbacks in the sport. Losing him would set the franchise back years, and Cincy is already grappling with missing the playoffs in three straight seasons.

The Bengals can't afford to waste Burrow's prime. Winning is fun, and building a winner around Burrow is now the organization's only directive.
