Alex Honnold Doesn't Know the Plan If He Fell During Historic Live Skyscraper Climb on Netflix
American rock climber Alex Honnold recently became the first person to ever free solo the 1,667-foot Taipei 101 skyscraper, doing so in one hour and 31 minutes. Netflix captured his Herculean effort during a live special, which aired on Saturday, Jan. 24.
On Monday, Honnold appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to speak about his feats, and Kimmel asked him whether Netflix had a plan if he fell (segment begins at 40-second mark).
"I honestly don't know what the plan is," Honnold said. "Thankfully I'm kept out of the loop on all that."
Thankfully, the 40-year-old Honnold completed the feat. Some of his best moments climbing the Taipei 101 skyscraper, which has 101 stories above ground, are captured here.
Hannold's numerous feats including becoming the first person to free solo El Capitan at Yosemite National Park in 2017.
