Ephesians Prysock NFL Draft 2026 Scouting Report for San Francisco 49ers CB

The San Francisco 49ers selected Washington CB Ephesians Prysock with the No. 139 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft.

Ephesians Prysock brings an excellent blend of athleticism, zone instincts, and size to the cornerback position. Using his length to disrupt plans and timing, he has the schematic versatility to play in a variety of defenses.

The 4-star recruit and Arizona transfer played a ton of football in his four-year career. He started 42 games between Arizona and Washington, showing remarkable durability.

Prysock compiled 20 passes defensed and two interceptions throughout his collegiate career while showcasing his ability to be around the ball. At the Senior Bowl, he was asked to show off some nickel reps as well, which confirmed his movement skills for a taller player.

Where He Wins

— Has excellent route-recognition skills in zone coverage and plays with consistent depth to take away throws or drive into the catch point and disrupt plays.

— Uses his hands well in press coverage and lands powerful strikes to the chest of receivers. Hip flip and lateral burst keep him in the receiver's hip pocket and maintain connectivity.

— Displays unique movement skills with loose hips to make quick, impactful transitions in multiple positions.

— Does well as a defender in the run/scheme game to maintain outside leverage and fight to drive ball-carriers back inside to help. Block-shielding move is quick and effective thanks to his length.

— Has a strong jam when he connects, but is inconsistent with his timing, and combined with late feet in the release, receivers can stack him vertically.

— Gets grabby and takes penalties when he's behind the play. Needs to stay calm and not panic when he gets stacked downfield to avoid back-breaking calls.

— Gets his hands on a ton of passes, but his ball-tracking and locating downfield limit his turnover potential.

— Poor tackler, although he's willing to come downhill in the run and screen game. Consistently wrapping up with his length and frame will yield better results.
