Olympic Hockey 2026 Odds for USA, Canada and More Countries for Final Bracket

The United States and Canada are the favorites to reach the gold medal game in both men's and women's hockey at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

The United States and Canada have combined to win the seven gold medals handed out in women's hockey. Their gold medal game rivalry should continue in MIlan.

There's a chance for more variety in the men's hockey competition with NHL players re-introduced for the Olympics.

Canada and the United States have the most talent-rich rosters, but a handful of European nations will try to upset the North American hierarchy on the men's side.

The Four Nations Face-Off last February gave us an idea of what the Winter Olympics will look like with NHL players back in the fold.

Canada took home that title with Connor McDavid, Nathan MacKinnon and Sidney Crosby leading the charge.

Canada owns the more star-studded roster than the United States. Last February's result serves as a good indicator for where both teams stand.

Some players have been changed on both rosters, but the cores remain in place, and it's hard to argue against Canada's top-tier talent.

Sweden and Finland didn't fare well at the Four Nations, but they are still formidable teams to watch out for in the hunt for the gold medal.

Sweden and Canada were the only nations to win the men's ice hockey event with NHL players between 2000 and 2014.

Finland comes into Milan as the reigning gold-medal winner, but it won't be considered a top-three favorite to win this time around because of the NHL talent.

If you're looking for a dark-horse medalist, Czechia is worth a look. The Czechs have two solid NHL-based goalies in Dan Vladar and Karol Vejmelka and its top line will be headlined by David Pastrnak and Martin Necas.

Everyone expects the United States and Canada to meet in the women's hockey gold medal game.

The Americans have the slight edge, according the oddsmakers, going into Milan, but Canada's been the dominant force on the Olympic stage.

Canada owns five of the seven women's hockey gold medals since women's hockey was introduced at the 1998 Winter Olympics.

Finland won bronze at three of the last four Winter Olympics, so it has to be the favorite to take third place once again.

An upset of the United States and Canada is unlikely to happen in Milan, so it feels safe to lock the two in for the women's final on February 19.
