There were incredible scenes during a "friendly" match between Bulgaria's CSKA Sofia and Israel's Ashdod on Sunday.
After a heavy tackle in stoppage time from an Ashdod player, tempers boiled over.
First, CSKA players started confronting the player, and then fans spilled onto the pitch to get involved.
That led to the incredible sight of the entire Israeli team being chased into the stands and out of the ground.
As per Sports Illustrated:
The fans began to run after the visiting players, who fled into an empty portion of the stands. One fan threw what appeared to be a glass bottle and hit an Ashdod player in the head.
According to Bulgarian site Sportal.bg, the fans were upset with the physical nature of Ashdod’s play. The foul immediately preceding the violence was the third red card of the match for Ashdod. CSKA supporters, particularly the group known as “Sector G,” are well known for being violent at times.
There was certainly nothing friendly about this pre-season match.
