Deontay Wilder to Face Derek Chisora in Heavyweight Boxing Fight, Date, Location Revealed
Deontay Wilder is set to face Derek Chisora in a heavyweight fight at O2 Arena in London, per ESPN's Andreas Hale.
The bout will take place on April 4, headlining the first Misfits Pro event.
Wilder is attempting to secure his second consecutive win after defeating Tyrrell Herndon in June 2025, while Chisora is currently in the midst of a three-fight win streak.
Chisora previously appeared to bring up the fight in a Jan. 24 social media post, signing a contract while on a video call with Wilder.
"If I'm not ready then I'm gonna get ready," Wilder told Chisora in the video.
"I'm just going to let you know, I love you, bro, but this is gonna be the last phone call," he added. "Next time I see you it will be at the press conference and then after that we'll be in the ring, baby."
Wilder is looking to build momentum following his win over Herndon, as the former WBC heavyweight champion suffered consecutive losses against Tyson Fury after opening his career with a 42-0-1 record.
While he later took down Robert Helenius, he lost to Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang prior to his knockout victory against Herndon.
As for Chisora, he owns a 36-13 record with 23 knockouts. The 42-year-old previously announced his intention to retire after his 50th fight.
Still, he's coming off a trio of impressive wins over Gerald Washington, Joe Joyce and Otto Wallin following a knockout loss to Fury in Dec. 2022.
