NBA, MLB, NHL, WWE, Major Sports Leagues to Join NFL in Wearing 'USA 250' Uniform Patches
The NFL will debut "USA 250" patches in honor of the United States' 250th Anniversary on Super Bowl Sunday, and numerous major sports leagues will soon take part in the initiative as well.
Joe Vardon and Adam Crafton of The Athletic relayed the news from joint news release "from the White House, the sports merchandising company Fanatics, the committee overseeing the celebration, America250, and the participating leagues."
The Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots will wear the patches on Sunday, Feb. 8 in Santa Clara, California's Levi's Stadium, where Super Bowl LX will take place. The patches will appear on the right shoulder for both jerseys.

The Athletic also provided more information on how the patch will be utilized.
"Additionally, the teams that reach the NBA Finals and NHL Stanley Cup Finals will wear the patch on their jerseys. All MLB teams will wear them for games on July 4, as will players who participate in the All-Star Game and Home Run Derby. All minor-league baseball teams playing on July 4 will wear the patches, as will wrestlers in WWE's WrestleMania, fighters in the special UFC event planned for June on the White House lawn and boxers in select Zuffa boxing matches. MLS teams will feature the patch during Opening Weekend. NASCAR is also participating, though the news release did not specify how or when the patch or logo will be incorporated onto the drivers' jumpsuits and cars."
