Aaron Rodgers Returning to Steelers? Mike McCarthy Updates Talks with QB amid NFL Rumors

Biggest Questions Surrounding 2026 NFL Season After the Draft 🤔
Rodgers was the Steelers' quarterback last season and helped Pittsburgh go 10-7 and win the AFC North. He completed 65.7 percent of his passes for 3,322 yards, 24 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
The 42-year-old Rodgers is now understandably taking time to ponder his future. After his team's 30-6 loss to the Houston Texans in the AFC Wild Card round, Rodgers told reporters that he wasn't "going to make any emotional decisions."
Based on McCarthy's remarks, one can guess Rodgers is still taking that time. Retirement is on the table, as is potentially re-signing with the Steelers, who are now led by Rodgers' old coach with the Green Bay Packers.
The two were together from nearly 13 seasons (2006-2018) before Green Bay parted ways with McCarthy in Dec. 2018. They enjoyed incredible success, though, winning Super Bowl XLV and making the playoffs nine times.
We'll see what happens with Rodgers down the road, but for now, the Steelers are embarking on a new era with McCarthy, who took over for 19-year head coach Mike Tomlin after the Super Bowl XLIII winner stepped down from his post.
