Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic won a pair of five-set epics at the 2026 Australian Open on Friday.
Alcaraz needed five hours and 27 minutes to advance past Alexander Zverev to reach his first final in Melbourne.
Djokovic outlasted two-time reigning champion Jannik Sinner in over four hours to clinch his 38th career Grand Slam final berth.
Alcaraz and Djokovic will meet in a Grand Slam final for the third time in their careers on Sunday.

Carlos Alcaraz won the longer of the two five-set epics on Friday.
The No. 1 seed outlasted No. 3 seed Alexander Zverev to reach his the first Australian Open final of his career.
Alcaraz won the first two sets of the semifinal, but the match got more difficult for the Spaniard in the third and fourth sets.
Zverev won both of those sets in tiebreaks to force a fifth set.
Alcaraz rallied to win the final set 7-5 to keep his perfect record alive when leading after two sets.
Alcaraz will play for his first Australian Open title on Sunday, as well as the career Grand Slam. He owns two titles at each of the other three majors.

Novak Djokovic rallied from a set down to take down reigning champion Jannik Sinner and move one away from his 11th Australian Open title.
Djokovic earned vital service breaks in both the fourth and fifth sets to close out the match.
Djokovic's win ended Sinner's run of consecutive Grand Slam finals at five. Sinner won the last two titles in Melbourne.
Djokovic advanced to his first Grand Slam final since Wimbledon in 2024, where he lost to Alcaraz in straight sets.
