2-Year-Old Jude Owens Makes History Breaking Guinness World Record with Snooker Shot in Viral Video
The next phenom in the world of snooker may have emerged.
Guinness World Records confirmed Tuesday that two-year-old Jude Owens is the youngest person ever to make both a double pot and a bank shot.
Owens' dad, Luke, explained he quickly discovered his son seemed to have a knack for the sport.
"I think I realized once he put the cue through his fingers and it was dead natural the way he did it," he said (via People's Gabrielle Rockson). "Also, when I uploaded quite a few videos to social media, I had some big social media outlets reaching out to us to use the content."
For those unfamiliar, snooker is much like traditional pool but requires a larger table, smaller pockets and more balls.
The double pot and bank shots are fairly self-explanatory. A double pot occurs when the player knocks a ball into two different pockets with one strike of the cue ball. A bank shot is when the cue ball hits at least one rail before knocking another ball into the pocket.
Decades ago, a national audience first learned of a two-year-old Tiger Woods when he displayed his golf talents on The Mike Douglas Show.
No pressure, Jude.
