Adam Schefter Makes Cryptic Eagles Comment, Teases News in Video amid A.J. Brown, OC Rumors

The Philadelphia Eagles are still searching for their next offensive coordinator, but it sounds like the franchise has more news in store for the near future.

During a radio appearance on 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia, ESPN's Adam Schefter teased the potential for the Eagles to surprise the NFL world with some news soon.

When host Andrew Salciunas suggested that Philadelphia's decision on an offensive coordinator could be imminent, Schefter cryptically responded, "Maybe it'll be even more than that by next week."

Of course, the speculation immediately turned to the status of Eagles star receiver A.J. Brown, whose unhappiness was apparent multiple times throughout the 2025 season.

After Philadelphia was eliminated from the playoffs in the NFC Wild Card Round and lost the chance to earn a second straight Super Bowl title, general manager Howie Roseman was asked directly if he would be open to trading Brown, and he indicated that he wants to keep the three-time Pro Bowler in the fold.

"It is hard to find great players in the NFL, and A.J. is a great player," Roseman said earlier this month. "I think from my perspective, that's what we're going out and looking for when we go out here in free agency, in the draft, just trying to find great players who love football, and he's that guy."

Still, many will continue to wonder if Brown's time in Philadelphia is coming to an end, and Schefter's comments on Wednesday only adds more fuel to that speculation.
