Portland Fire Reveal Uniforms and New Logo in Photos, Video for Debut WNBA Season
Ahead of their inaugural WNBA season, the Portland Fire have unveiled the uniforms they will be wearing.
The Fire revealed their primary white jerseys with the Fire nickname across the chest, as well as their road red look with the city name emblazoned on the front.
Other details unveiled include the "PDX" secondary logo that celebrates the team's legacy in Portland. The stylized "P" logo includes a silhouette of Mt. Hood, the highest point in all of Oregon.
The PDX logo also includes nods to Portland, with the body of the P and D inspired by the Willamette River that flows through northwest Oregon.
Fans will have the opportunity to purchase their Fire Nike Explorer Edition jerseys on Wednesday.
The WNBA awarded Portland an expansion franchise in September 2024. It marked the league's return to the city for the first time since 2002 when the original Fire dissolved after three seasons.
Portland will be the WNBA's 15th franchise, marking the culmination of the league's third round of expansion that began with Golden State and Toronto receiving franchises.
Alex Sarama, who spent the 2024-25 NBA season as an assistant with the Cleveland Cavaliers, was hired as the Fire's first head coach in October.
The Fire are scheduled to open their inaugural season against the Chicago Sky at Moda Center on May 9.
