Brooks Koepka Reveals Call to Tiger Woods After Decision to Leave LIV Golf for PGA Tour
Brooks Koepka said the first call he made after parting ways with LIV Golf was to PGA Tour legend Tiger Woods.
"I called Tiger right away," he told reporters Tuesday. "That process got the ball rolling."
"I've always had a good relationship with Tiger," he continued. "And I felt like that was what I wanted to do. Once I had the opportunity to get reinstated on the PGA Tour, it was exciting and I kinda didn't really know what to do. And [he] was the first person who kinda came to mind. ... Tiger was somebody that I relied on in the past for questions and answers on how to deal with things. And I felt like that was the most comfortable call for me."
Kopeka, 35, will make his return to PGA Tour play this week at the Farmers Insurance Open.
He will also play at the WM Phoenix Open and the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches in the coming weeks after being readmitted to the PGA Tour via the Returning Member Program.
