Predicting Biggest Winners and Losers of the WWE Royal Rumble 2026 Match Card

Donald WoodJan 27, 2026

Despite some fans' misgivings about the 2026 WWE Royal Rumble taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, there are still massive in-ring ramifications from the cornerstone event.

With the Rumble setting the stage for the Road to WrestleMania 42, the WWE Universe has turned its attention to which Superstars will be the biggest winners and losers from the marquee premium live event.

Here are the biggest predicted winners and losers from the 2026 Royal Rumble.

Winners

Bron Breakker

The most likely winner of the night should be Bron Breakker, who deserves to win the men's match more than anyone else on the main roster.

Since making his debut, The Badass has shone in every role he's been given and earned the respect and admiration of fans, even as a heel.

A win in the men's Rumble would give him immediate credibility with casual fans and propel him into the main event of WrestleMania 42. The win and focus on the Road to WrestleMania would also likely include a face turn as the WWE Universe continues to show him support.

Not only would a victory be a momentum boost for Breakker, but it would also set up the world title picture at the most important time of year.

Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn's victory at Saturday Night's Main Event to become the No. 1 contender for Drew McIntyre's Undisputed WWE Championship was a feel-good moment that had the WWE Universe buzzing.

While the odds suggest the Scot will retain the title, the momentum Zayn created with the victory, and the way the fans received him, should tell Triple H and WWE Creative all they need to know about the popular performer.

To fully maximize the storyline potential of the feud, McIntyre should cheat to retain his championship on Saturday, setting the stage for Zayn to get a rematch at Elimination Chamber.

If the company knows what is best for the business, the Canadian star will win the title before the fans at the United Center in Chicago on February 28.

Loser

LA Knight

There are, arguably, few Superstars with a bigger gripe against Triple H and the current creative regime than LA Knight, and that growing list of issues may only get longer with a lackluster performance at the Royal Rumble.

WWE understands how much the fans love The Megastar, but it refuses to give him championships worthy of their reactions.

As a result, the WWE Universe should expect Knight as the person the men's Rumble winner eliminates to win the Battle Royal.

After Breakker tosses The Megastar over the top rope, WWE Creative could again fail to capitalize on the momentum he creates in the match by not following it up immediately.

Unless Triple H and Co. pivot fast, Knight risks floating aimlessly until Elimination Chamber.
