Brian Daboll Reportedly to Be Hired As Titans OC for Cam Ward After Joe Brady Hired by Bills

Julia StumbaughJan 27, 2026

Former New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll could reportedly serve as either the Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator or Las Vegas Raiders head coach next season.

The Titans are set to hire Daboll as OC if he isn't hired by the Raiders as head coach, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Tuesday.

Daboll's "top choice" had been to serve as the Buffalo Bills' next head coach, per The Athletic's Dianna Russini.

The Bills have instead promoted offensive coordinator Joe Brady to the position, Schefter reported.

According to CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones, Daboll and Denver Broncos passing game coordinator Davis Webb are currently the Raiders' "leading" head coach candidates.

The Titans hired Robert Saleh as head coach after a 3-14 finish to Cam Ward's rookie season.

Tennessee fired Brian Callahan following a 1-5 start to the campaign, then went 2-9 the rest of the way under interim head coach Mike McCoy.

Saleh spent last season serving as defensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers, who ranked 11th in rushing yards allowed and 13th in points allowed.

He had previously spent another four-year stint as the Niners' DC before serving four years as the New York Jets head coach from 2021 to 2024.

Given Saleh's defensive background, his OC hiring could ultimately be key to Ward's development.

Daboll served as offensive coordinator for the Cleveland Browns, Miami Dolphins, Kansas City Chiefs and Bills prior to taking the head coaching job with the Giants in New York.

Saleh and the Titans could now hope Daboll's experience working with quarterbacks including Josh Allen, Daniel Jones and Jaxson Dart will help him guide Ward to take a step forward in 2026.

Daboll has a connection with Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi, who was working in the Chiefs' front office while Daboll was serving as OC in 2012.

Depending on which direction the Raiders take in their search for a replacement for Pete Carroll, Daboll and Borgonzi could be set to reunite next season in Tennessee.
