Mets' Steve Cohen Responds to Fan 'Complaining' About Uniforms Instead of Roster

Adam WellsJan 27, 2026

New York Mets owner Steve Cohen is still responding to fan comments on social media, but the tenor of the messages feels more low-key than it did when he was upset about where the team's payroll was at.

For instance, after a fan tagged Cohen in a post on X about bringing back the Snow White jerseys, he responded by saying the uniform concerns were better than "complaining" about the roster.

It does speak to how well things have gone for the Mets in the past two weeks that a uniform request would be a concern for fans of the team.

Five weeks ago, Cohen was railing against the "payroll watchers" and explaining how there's more to the team's budget than what gets spent in free agency.

The last two weeks have seen the Mets add Bo Bichette, Freddy Peralta and Luis Robert Jr. to the roster, so the outlook for the club in 2026 has changed significantly.

When Cohen first bought the Mets in late 2020, he pitched himself as a fan-friendly owner by soliciting their input on ways to improve their experience. The vibes were high coming off an NLCS appearance in 2024 before falling off a cliff with a collapse down the stretch last season.

Cohen and his staff have worked their way back into the good graces of Mets fans with their recent moves, but maybe he could boost their morale even higher if he looked into bringing back the Snow White look.
