Vandy QB Diego Pavia's Height, Weight Revealed Ahead of Senior Bowl, NFL Draft

Andrew PetersJan 26, 2026

With the NFL combine just around the corner and the draft just a few months away, Diego Pavia is hoping to make a strong case to land on a team this spring.

Ahead of the Senior Bowl, the Vanderbilt quarterback's measurements were revealed. He came in at 5'9 7/8" and 198 pounds.

Pavia's height was a point of debate during the 2025 campaign. He was listed at 6'0" on Vanderbilt's website, and few questioned that for much of the season, but a photo of him alongside his fellow Heisman finalists caused some to wonder how tall he really is.

He appeared significantly shorter than Notre Dame's Jeremiyah Love, who was listed at 6'0" and Ohio State's Julian Sayin, who was listed at 6'1". Teresa Walker of the Associated Press reported that Pavia "has allowed he's been measured a smidge under" 5'10".

It's fair to assume Pavia's Senior Bowl height is accurate, but another measurement at next month's draft combine should help confirm it.

While Pavia's height has been a major debate among fans, the difference between an inch or two likely won't matter to scouts, especially considering quarterbacks like Russell Wilson, Bryce Young and others have proved to be capable starters despite being under 6'0".

Pavia had a tremendous final season with the Commodores, throwing for 3,539 yards, 29 touchdowns and eight interceptions while adding 862 yards and 10 scores on the ground.

While he had a Heisman-caliber season, Pavia isn't exactly a premier name in this year's draft. He could very well end up on a roster next season, especially if he performs well at the Senior Bowl and draft combine, but he likely won't be one of the first quarterbacks off the board.
