Seahawks' Cooper Kupp Reacts to Beating Rams for Super Bowl Berth After Being Released by LA

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The 2021 All-Pro caught four passes for 36 yards, and he delivered what proved to be the decisive score with his 13-yard touchdown grab in the third quarter.
The Rams paved the way for Kupp to return to his home state when they released him last March.
His production was trending downward, and he had missed 18 combined games between 2022-24. The emergence of Puka Nacua also lessened the need to keep him around, and his exit opened the door for L.A. to add Davante Adams.
Parting ways was understandable from the Rams' perspective.
Considering Adams had 789 yards and an NFL-high 14 touchdown receptions, general manager Les Snead and head coach Sean McVay probably don't have any second thoughts about how they handled the receiver room.
Kupp's 47 catches and 593 receiving yards were the second-fewest of his career. He has been a good secondary target for Seattle but clearly isn't the same aerial threat he was at his peak.
But Kupp factoring in an important touchdown against the Rams is a moment crafted by Hollywood scriptwriters.
The 32-year-old already has a ring and was the MVP in Los Angeles' Super Bowl LVI triumph over the Cincinnati Bengals. Winning a title with the Seahawks might feel a little more special given all of the narratives at play.
