Seahawks' Sam Darnold Jokes About Super Bowl Appearance With 49ers, Talks 2018 QB Draft Class Feat
Sam Darnold is heading to the Super Bowl for the first time as a starting quarterback, but it won't be the first time he's been on a Super Bowl roster.
After leading the Seattle Seahawks to a win over the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC championship, Darnold was asked about being the first quarterback from the 2018 draft class that features Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson and Baker Mayfield to make the Super Bowl, and he joked about his experience in the Super Bowl.
"I actually made it in 2023 as well when I was in San Francisco," he said.

Darnold said the impressive feat has less to do with him than it does with the team around him.
"It's unbelievable. Obviously, those are great players, but it's more so the team," he said. "It's the hard work we've put in throughout this season."
