Andrew PetersJan 26, 2026

Just two years ago, Sam Darnold was serving as a backup quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers. Now, he's leading the Seattle Seahawks to their first Super Bowl in more than a decade.

His sudden rise to stardom has come with plenty of financial compensation.

Darnold signed a three-year, $100.5 million contract with the Seahawks this offseason following his breakout year with the Minnesota Vikings, and he's managed to tack on $3 million in bonuses this year. The latest bonus was another $500,000 for winning the NFC championship.
