Super Bowl 2026 Initial Odds, Final-Score Prediction for Seahawks vs. Patriots

Joe TanseyJan 25, 2026

The New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks will square off in the Super Bowl for the second time in their respective franchise histories.

Seattle enters Super Bowl 60 at Levi's Stadium as the favorite to claim the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

New England will be a frisky underdog, though, as it won three playoff games against some of the best defenses in the NFL.

The Patriots and Seahawks were at, or near, the top of their respective conferences for most of the season.

New England advanced to the Super Bowl thanks to some great quarterback play from Drake Maye and a defense that allowed 26 points in three playoff rounds.

The Patriots held the Jarrett Stidham-led Denver Broncos to seven points in the AFC Championship Game, a game that lacked offense on either side when snow arrived in the second half.

Maye and Co.'s most impressive offensive showing in the postseason occurred in the divisional round against the Houston Texans.

The 28-16 win over Houston provided the Patriots with a potential blueprint to deal with Seattle's tough defense.

Maye will have to rely on veterans, like Stefon Diggs, Rhamondre Stevenson and Hunter Henry, to deal with whatever looks the Seahawks defense throws at the AFC champion.

Seattle's defense allowed 33 points in its two playoff games. It held the injury-riddled San Francisco 49ers to six points and then held off the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship Game.

Seattle's offense stole the show in both games, though, with 72 total points.

The unit headlined by Jaxon Smith-Njigba provides a fascinating threat to the New England secondary.

Smith-Njigba torched many defenses all season. He should be the primary focus of the New England defense.

Seattle will have to work in different players to complement Smith-Njigba. Look for Cooper Kupp to play a huge role in the Super Bowl.

Kupp, who won the Super Bowl MVP while with the Los Angeles Rams, could be the X-factor inside the Seattle offense.

The Seahawks produced two complete performances to reach Santa Clara, but don't count out the Patriots with that defense.

New England does have the coaching X-factor with Mike Vrabel, who was a key member of the Patriots dynasty as a player.

Seattle has the most explosive player in the matchup with Smith-Njigba. He could be the difference, like he was against the Rams, in the Super Bowl.

Prediction: Seattle 24, New England 21
