Updated Super Bowl Ticket Prices and Why This Year's Travel is Seen as a 'Bargain'

Joseph ZuckerJan 25, 2026

Attending the Super Bowl is always an expensive affair. Staging this year's game in Santa Clara, California, might at least help somewhat lower costs for NFL fans.

Sarah Kennedy, a travel trends expert for KAYAK, told USA Today's Kathleen Wong that traveling to Santa Clara is a "relative bargain" compared to some other host cities.

According to Wong, airfare prices are 19 percent cheaper than flight tickets to New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX last winter. An average ticket into San Francisco International Airport is around $328, and it's basically the same ($331) to fly into Oakland International Airport.

Of course, getting to the Super Bowl is likely to be much less than what it takes to get inside Levi's Stadium. Tickets originally ranged from $950 to $8,500 at face value, and the cheapest now goes for more than $6,000 on the resale market.

And fans don't even yet know for sure who will be competing in Super Bowl LX.

Sunday's conference championships will see the New England Patriots face off with the Denver Broncos and the Los Angeles Rams battle the division rival Seattle Seahawks.

Ticket prices might continue to climb as those who were on the fence decide to take the plunge once they're sure their favorite team is playing.
