WWE 2K26 Cover, Pre-Order Date and Details for 'Monday Night War' Edition Revealed in Photo, Video

Gamers will get to relive a seminal period in professional wrestling thanks to WWE 2K26.

WWE announced this year's installment in the video game franchise will have a "Monday Night War" edition. The cover includes past stars from both WWE and WCW:

In general, WWE 2K26 is turning the clock back to the 1990s. The developers previously confirmed there will be an "Attitude Era" special edition on top of the standard release.

It's unclear how this era will be integrated into the game.

Fans will want to temper their expectations for now, though, as Insider Gaming's Mike Straw reported on Jan. 15 that CM Punk was picked for the Showcase Mode. WWE 2K26 might not provide the opportunity to experience some of the biggest moments from the "Attitude Era" and "Monday Night War" all over again.

At the very least, the roster should be substantial and include numerous legends from the 1990s and early 2000s.

Pre-orders of WWE 2K26 are available starting Jan. 30.
