Paige Bueckers Scores 28 as Cameron Brink, Breeze Beat Skylar Diggins, Lunar Owls in Unrivaled

Paige Bueckers scored 28 points as Cameron Brink and the Breeze secured a 75-68 win over Aaliyah Edwards, Skylar Diggins and the Lunar Owls on Saturday.

Bueckers poured in 28 points on 10-of-17 shooting, adding seven assists and five rebounds as the Breeze improved to 4-2. The performance came on the heels of her career-high 37-point outing in an 83-64 win over the Mist.

Brink made her impact off the bench, finishing with 12 points, six rebounds and a block. Dominique Malonga added 21 points and eight rebounds, while Rickea Jackson chipped in 10 points to help the Breeze secure the win.

For the Lunar Owls, Edwards carried the load with 23 points, 16 rebounds and four assists, while Marina Mabrey added 18 points and Diggins chipped in 17 off the bench as the Owls dropped to 1-5.

The Breeze took an eight-point lead into halftime behind 17 points from Bueckers, who also added five rebounds and four assists. Malonga had 12 points at the break, while Brink finished the half with 10.

The margin tightened after three quarters, with the Breeze clinging to a one-point lead after Diggins capped the period with a 4-0 run to pull the Lunar Owls within striking distance.

With the target score set at 74 to open the fourth and the Breeze ahead 63-62, the Lunar Owls briefly surged in front, 66-63. The Breeze responded with a decisive 12-2 run to seal the win, punctuated by a Bueckers basket.

The Breeze will face a quick turnaround as they host the 4-1 Laces, led by Alyssa Thomas, Jackie Young and Brittney Sykes.
