Here are the updated weather forecasts for each game, per Weather.com.
AFC Championship Game
Even though Denver is accustomed to difficult winter weather at this time of year, the city appears likely to avoid the worst of the major storm that is going to hit most of the country with the exception of extremely frigid temperatures.
The forecast for kickoff at 1 p.m. MT is cloudy and 24 degrees with a one percent chance of precipitation. Wind chills will make the temperature feel like 13 degrees and could get as low as four degrees around 4 p.m., right around when the game would be expected to end.
There could be inclement weather that develops later in the game, with snow showers potentially hitting as early as 4 p.m. local time and continuing through the evening.
Denver last hosted the AFC Championship Game in January 2016, defeating the Patriots to clinch a berth in Super Bowl 50.
NFC Championship Game
The weather for the Rams-Seahawks game is going to feel like paradise when compared to the AFC Championship.
Temperature at kickoff will be 38 degrees and partly cloudy. It will never get worse than partly cloudy with a low temperature of 34 degrees and basically no winds by the time the game ends.
It should make for a perfect environment for a game featuring arguably the two best teams in the NFL. The two regular season games between the Rams and Seahawks were decided by razor-thin margins.
They split those games with each team winning on their home turf. The combined score was 58-57 and the Rams outgained the Seahawks by one yard (830 to 829).
Sam Darnold had 14 interceptions during the regular season. Six of them came in the two games against Los Angeles. He has three touchdowns and seven interceptions in his last three games against the Rams dating back to last year's playoff loss when he was with the Minnesota Vikings.
Sunday will mark the first NFC Championship Game hosted by the Seahawks since Jan. 2015.
