Robert Saleh Explains Why Titans Were 'Most Desirable' Landing Spot After Ravens, Cardinals Buzz
Robert Saleh had interest from a number of NFL teams during this coaching cycle, including the Baltimore Ravens, Arizona Cardinals and Miami Dolphins. Ultimately, however, he felt the Tennessee Titans were the right fit.
"For me, this was the most desirable location, the most desirable team," the team's new head coach said in a statement. "What I learned about the organization, the more phone calls I made, the more people I spoke to, this building, I feel like it fits me, will fit us, the best. The people here are unbelievable, and they're the type of people you want to work with. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity. And I am really excited about the city of Nashville and bringing a winner back to the city."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
It surely helped that the Titans already have a young quarterback in place in 2025 first-round pick Cam Ward. The New York Jets never adequately addressed that position during Saleh's four seasons in the Big Apple, saddling him with Zach Wilson, Joe Flacco, Mike White and of course the failed Aaron Rodgers experiment.
Saleh will need to get his offensive coordinator hire right, given his status as a defensive-minded coach. But having the quarterback already puts him in a far better situation than his New York tenure.
