Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported Monday that "all signs are pointing towards" the Chiefs hiring Bieniemy as their offensive coordinator.
Kansas City has been targeting Bieniemy for a "few weeks" with Matt Nagy expected to land a head coaching job, according to Dianna Russini of The Athletic.
Bieniemy served as the Chiefs' offensive coordinator from 2018-22 before Nagy held the role from 2023-25.
It's easy to see why Mahomes would be excited about a return, as he thrived during Bieniemy's tenure in Kansas City.
From 2018-22, Mahomes completed 66.4 percent of his throws for 23,957 yards and 192 touchdowns compared to 48 interceptions. He earned two MVP awards and helped the Chiefs capture two Super Bowl titles during that span.
Kansas City is attempting to bounce back from a 6-11 finish in 2025, while Mahomes is currently recovering from a torn ACL that he suffered in Week 15.
