Updated 2026 MLB World Series Betting Odds After Dodgers Reportedly Land Kyle Tucker

Adam WellsJan 16, 2026

The Los Angeles Dodgers were already favorites to win the 2026 World Series, but they decided to solidify their status as the team to beat by agreeing to a deal with four-time All-Star Kyle Tucker.

Per the consensus odds from the Action Network, the Dodgers are plus-225 (bet $100 to win $225) to win their third consecutive World Series title.

ESPN's Jeff Passan reported on Thursday that Tucker will sign a four-year, $240 million deal with the Dodgers.

The New York Yankees are the only other team that currently has better than 10-1 odds to win the Fall Classic (plus-900).

Among National League teams, the Philadelphia Phillies are second to the Dodgers at plus-1200. The Atlanta Braves (plus-1600), New York Mets (plus-1600) and Chicago Cubs (plus-1800) round out the top five favorites in the senior circuit.

To illustrate how strong the Dodgers odds are to win in 2026, they entered last season as the biggest betting favorite to win the World Series since the 2002 Yankees at plus-275.

For fans who might be feeling a little bored of the Dodgers' dominance, it's worth remembering that Yankees team lost to the Anaheim Angels in the ALDS after they signed Jason Giambi as a free agent in the offseason.

That Yankees team was loaded with still-in-their-prime stars like Giambi, Derek Jeter, Jorge Posada, Bernie Williams, Alfonso Soriano, Mike Mussina and Andy Pettitte.

Even though nothing is guaranteed and the Dodgers nearly lost the World Series last year to the Toronto Blue Jays, it's hard not look at their current depth chart and think path to the Fall Classic will once again go through Southern California.
