Zay Flowers' 5th-Year Contract Option Reportedly Picked Up by Ravens, 2027 Salary Revealed
The Baltimore Ravens are keeping their top receiver under contract through at least 2027.
The Ravens will exercise the $28 million fifth-year option on Zay Flowers' rookie deal, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
Baltimore's front office will have some accounting to do before the 2027 season starts because the team is already projected to be $13.4 million over the cap without factoring in Flowers' salary.

Flowers, 25, is currently set to play the 2026 season under a $4.5 million cap hit. He will receive a significant raise in 2027 thanks in part to his Pro Bowl nods in 2024 and 2025, which raised the cost of his fifth-year option to the maximum salary.
Activating the option could give the Ravens more time to potentially work out a long-term extension for Flowers, who has served as Lamar Jackson's top receiver for the last three seasons.
Flowers is coming off back-to-back campaigns during which he topped 1,000 receiving yards for the Ravens.
He most recently racked up a career-high 1,211 receiving yards in 17 games of the 2025 season, helping the Ravens stay in playoff contention until Week 18 despite a down year from Derrick Henry and four games spent without Jackson.
Flowers has at times struggled with ball control in the clutch over his last two seasons in Baltimore, including a critical fumble against the Kansas City Chiefs during the 2024 AFC Championship Game.
Baltimore could ultimately hope to see Flowers' high-profile turnovers improve as he continues developing in his fourth NFL season.
The Ravens also have Henry under contract for the next two seasons after signing him to a two-year extension in May 2025.
Baltimore could now expect bringing back both Henry and Flowers will create some continuity for Jackson as he adjusts to playing under Jesse Minter's coaching staff following John Harbaugh's dismissal.
