"[Young] has now accepted the club's offer and the England international is expected to put pen to paper later this week," revealed Peter O'Rourke of ESPN FC.
Paul Hetherington of the Daily Star reported on Monday Young will receive "similar" terms to his current £120,000-per-week deal.
It was always difficult to envision the former Aston Villa man being sold following a resurgent first season under Louis van Gaal, and United writer Diarmuid Gillingham labelled it "laughable" the winger would leave.
However, Van Gaal recently sparked rumours over Young's future by confessing he "is not a Neymar," per Spanish newspaper Sport, so supporters will be delighted to hear of the new agreement.
Liverpool Rumours to be Ended by Young Extension

The Daily Star's Rhys Turrell previously reported Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers' interest in recruiting Young, who was thought to be available "for around £8 million" if he didn't agree to a new deal.
The England man proved to be an incredibly malleable asset to his side last season, adapting to a wing-back role when Van Gaal required it and mustering 23 Premier League starts.
United have enjoyed a busy summer thus far, but while the likes of Bastian Schweinsteiger, Depay, Morgan Schneiderlin and Matteo Darmian add quality in their respective areas, versatile options hold a worth of their own.
Young has entered the final 12 months of the five-year deal he agreed back in 2011, but it seems the club are on the verge of confirming his extended stay.
