In deciding to help finance the film, Curry may have been swayed by GOAT's plot. The animated movie follows a goat who has ambitions to play "roarball," a rough approximation of basketball, against much bigger and stronger animals.
This will be Reese's second feature film, and the stakes will thankfully be much lower. She had a cameo in A House of Dynamite, which depicts from multiple vantage points a situation where a missile is fired at the United States.
Getting a small role in GOAT is another sign of Reese's continued ascent as a crossover star.
A national champion at LSU, the 23-year-old was one of the most recognizable names in college basketball prior to arriving in the WNBA. Her profile continued to grow as she enjoyed a record-setting rookie campaign.
This past fall, Reese walked the runway at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, and she hinted it won't be the last time she represents the apparel brand.
