Fanatics originally announced the Flag Football Classic in September, with Brady revealed to be returning to play for one of the teams.
Other current and former NFL stars scheduled to play include Saquon Barkley, Christian McCaffrey, CeeDee Lamb, Maxx Crosby, Rob Gronkowski, Sauce Gardner, and Myles Garrett.
There will be a total of three teams participating in the event, with the third captain still to be announced. Sean Payton, Kyle Shanahan and Pete Carroll will be coaching the teams.
Per Fox Sports, the games will follow Olympic-style flag football rules with a five-on-five format played on a 50-yard field and two 20 minute halves. Each team will have a total of eight players on its roster.
The announcement of Daniels as a quarterback captain for one of the teams will mark his return to the field after an injury-plagued 2025 season with the Commanders.
Daniels, the 2024 Offensive Rookie of the Year, played just seven games in his sophomore season. His last appearance was on Dec. 7, when he suffered a dislocated elbow in a 31-0 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
FOX Sports and Tubi will broadcast the Flag Football Classic.
