NFL Draft 2026 Scouting Report for Auburn IOL Jeremiah Wright

Brandon ThornFeb 2, 2026

Jeremiah Wright is a big-bodied guard prospect with good square power and a chippy, physical demeanor. His marginal redirect skills, coupled with playing short (leading with head/shoulders), result in subpar leverage and sustain. Wright's size, demeanor and unrefined technique signal a player who needs seasoning while offering upside to develop into a contributor during his rookie contract.

Wright is a 6'5", 331-pound guard prospect who entered the Auburn program as a 3-star recruit in the 2020 class. He bounced back-and-forth between defensive and offensive line before settling on the O-line for the 2022 season as a backup left guard.

The former Tiger finished his career as a two-year starter with 24 consecutive starts at right guard, including spot duty at left guard throughout some games.

Where He Wins

1 of 4
Auburn v Kentucky

— Wide-bodied frame with good thickness throughout his build.

— Good square power to uproot and dig out targets on double-team feeds, pulls, down blocks and when looking for work in pass protection.

— Chippy, physical presence and opportunistic finisher with the size/strength combo to deliver body blows.

— Flashes ability to stay square, patient and inside-out in one-on-one pass protection situations to maximize his size and lengthen the path home for rushers.

Areas of Improvement

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: AUG 29 Auburn at Baylor

— Marginal foot quickness and redirect skills cap his ability to recover out of compromising positions.

— Overly reliant on brute force in the run game, leading to overextension and subpar leverage and sustain skills.

— Has too much air in his footwork when using the gallop technique on double-teams, creating leakage and quick penetration.
