WWE's Logan Paul Reveals World-Record Bid for Pokemon Card in Photo Amid Auction
WWE Superstar Logan Paul's 1998 Pikachu Illustrator card is poised to break its own record as the most expensive Pokémon card ever sold at auction.
On Tuesday, Paul shared a screenshot of where the bidding stands for the card on Goldin Auctions. With 33 days still remaining, the card has been bid up to $4.8 million, but the true price is $5.952 million when factoring in the Goldin buyer's premium:

Per Ben Burrows of CLLCT, Paul purchased the PSA 10 Japanese promo card for $5.275 million in 2021, which was the all-time record for a Pokémon card until now.
According to IGN's Tom Phillips, Paul said he will include a $75,000 chain with the card and hand deliver everything to the winner of the auction.
Paul famously attached the card to a chain and wore it around his neck during his entrance at WrestleMania 38, which marked the first match of his pro wrestling career.
The 30-year-old Paul has established himself as one of WWE's biggest stars over the past few years, but he also remains a social media celebrity and influencer, which is how he first made a name for himself.
Paul is hugely involved in the world of card and memorabilia collecting, and a strong argument can be made that there is no bigger piece in his portfolio than the Pikachu Illustrator card.
Despite the card being synonymous with Paul, he is parting with it for a historic price, which speaks to the continued growth of card collecting.
