NFL Playoff Bracket 2026 Updated Picture, Schedule After Super Wild Card

Monday's matchup between the Houston Texans and the Pittsburgh Steelers closed out Wild Card Weekend, setting the AFC and NFC Divisional Round matchups for next weekend.

With the No. 5 Texans' win, Houston will travel to face the No. 2 New England Patriots in the AFC Divisional Round. After the No. 6 Buffalo Bills upset the No. 3 Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, Buffalo advanced to face the top-seeded Denver Broncos.

In the NFC, the No. 6 San Francisco 49ers knocked off the No. 3 Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday to set up a matchup with the top-seeded Seattle Seahawks. The No. 2 Chicago Bears rallied past the No. 7 Green Bay Packers on Saturday and will host the No. 5 Los Angeles Rams, who defeated the No. 4 Carolina Panthers in the Wild Card Round.

C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans knocked off 42-year-old Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road Monday night to advance to the Divisional Round.

Houston carried a one-point lead into halftime despite committing two fumbles. The Texans opened the third quarter with an interception and followed it with a three-and-out, as both teams were held scoreless in the period.

The Texans pulled away in the fourth quarter with a field goal, while the defense delivered the knockout blows by returning a fumble for a touchdown and adding a pick-six to seal the win.

The Texans will hit the road next weekend to face the New England Patriots.
