LeSean McCoy Shades Jalen Hurts in Viral Video After Doing 'A Lot of Digging' Inside Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles had a pretty dreadful showing on offense against an injury-ravaged San Francisco 49ers defense on Sunday, losing 23-19.
There has been plenty of blame to go around, from beleaguered offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo to wideout A.J. Brown, who had a number of drops. But quarterback Jalen Hurts isn't being left off the hook either.
"Hurts, I need you to be special. Make plays," former NFL running back LeSean McCoy said on Speakeasy (9:00 mark). "I did a lot of digging, man, and I don't want to throw him under the bus here, but I know some people and the problem is [the Eagles] can't do different, exotic looks, different formations, different motions, because I'm hearing that he can't really do it."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
McCoy wasn't the only person critical of Hurts after Sunday's loss:
Hurts finished the game 20-of-35 for 168 yards, a touchdown and a sack taken. He only rushed five times for 14 yards.
There's no doubt he has his limitations as a passer, but most quarterbacks are limited in one way or another. Hurts has been fantastic in both Super Bowls he's played and generally great in the playoffs, so it's not as though he isn't up for it. But it's also clear he needs the right scheme around him to thrive.
The Eagles very clearly didn't have that in 2025 and Hurts wasn't able to elevate the offense in the process, a part of the team's struggles he'll need to own. But while changes of some variety will be coming to the team's offense in 2026, it won't be at quarterback.
