Carl Cheffers and All NFL Referee Assignments for 2026 Divisional Round Playoff Bracket

The NFL announced the referee assignments for the Divisional Round of the 2026 playoffs.

Saturday's games will see Carl Cheffers on duty for the Buffalo Bills vs. the Denver Broncos and John Hussey for the San Francisco 49ers vs. the Seattle Seahawks. On Sunday, Shawn Hochuli will be on hand for the Los Angeles Rams vs. the Chicago Bears, and Shawn Smith will work the New England Patriots vs. the winner of Monday night's game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Houston Texans.

Per Cameron Filipe of Football Zebras, Cheffers is in his 26th season as an official and 18th as a referee. Hussey is in his 24th season and 11th as a referee, while Hochuli and Smith are both in their eighth seasons as referees, with Hochuli having one more year of overall experience at 12 seasons.

NFL fans are certainly hoping that there won't be any controversy in deciding the playoff games this year, and it appears that the league has ensured that next week's games are in good hands.
