NFL Exec Blasts Jim Harbaugh's Chargers, 'Do Not Look Like They Know What the Hell is Going On'

The Los Angeles Chargers were bounced from the playoffs in the AFC Wild Card Round for the second straight year, and some are starting to question their trajectory under head coach Jim Harbaugh.

Following Sunday night's 16-3 loss to the New England Patriots, The Athletic's Mike Sando spoke to a former Super Bowl-winning head coach who blasted the Chargers for their ineptitude in the game.

"I watch what they do, and they don't know who to block," the coach said. "They set deep. That poor quarterback is getting killed. They just do not look like they know what the hell is going on."

Chargers star quarterback Justin Herbert was sacked six times against the Patriots, and the team totaled just 207 yards of offense in the loss.

Harbaugh has coached Los Angeles to an 11-6 record in back-to-back seasons, but the struggles in the postseason are starting to mount. In his previous stop with the San Francisco 49ers from 2011 to 2014, he led the team to a Super Bowl appearance and two trips to the NFC Championship Game in four years.

Herbert is one of the brightest young stars in the league, but playoff success has eluded him so far in his stellar career. Harbaugh and the Chargers will have to figure out a way to rebuild around him and maximize their window of title contention while he's under center. However, it sounds like the situation in Los Angeles is starting to get shaky, and the rest of the league is taking notice.
