Steelers Play 'Rowdy Games of Knockout' on Mini Hoop on Will Howard's Locker
Despite not winning a playoff game since 2016, the Pittsburgh Steelers are taking a light-hearted approach to Monday night's AFC Wild Card matchup against the Houston Texans.
ESPN's Brooke Pryor reported that the locker room inside the Steelers' practice facility "has been loose and full of energy," noting that a miniature basketball hoop on the side of rookie quarterback Will Howard's locker has become "a hotspot of increasingly boisterous activity."
"Since the hoop went up four weeks ago, singular shotmaking competitions have turned into rowdy games of knockout as the mini basketballs multiplied, and a yellow-taped free throw line appeared on the black carpet," Pryor explained. "Other games have sprung up around the locker room this week, too, as some gathered to shoot dice before the team walk-through and others roughhoused after practice."
