Latest NFL Rumors, Predictions on Giants, Browns, Dolphins, Titans and Cardinals' HC Hires
As hot as the first two games of the Wild Card round of the NFL Playoffs is the coaching carousel, with several high-profile candidates interviewing for the league's seven vacancies.
Mike McDaniel, fresh off of being fired by the Miami Dolphins last week, is already receiving plenty of interest, as is Super Bowl-winning coordinator Raheem Morris, himself let go by the Atlanta Falcons.
Then there are the coordinators garnering interest, including Rams defensive guru Chris Shula.
Dive deeper into each of those coaches' current situations in this collection of rumors from the league's top insiders.
Raheem Morris to Interview With Three Teams

Former Atlanta Falcons head coach Raheem Morris will interview with three teams regarding their coaching vacancies.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported that Morris has interviewed with the New York Giants and will interview with the Tennessee Titans and Arizona Cardinals this week.
In his two head coaching stints, with Atlanta and Tampa Bay, Morris is 37-56. He is a two-time Super Bowl winner as an assistant coach, most recently as defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams in their 2022 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI.
The 2025 season did not go according to plan, with lackluster play early and an injury to second-year quarterback Michael Penix Jr. ending his season prematurely. Morris rallied his team, though, and the Falcons went on a four-game winning streak to end the year, including a win over those same Rams on Monday Night Football in Week 17.
There is more uncertainty in Arizona, where there are questions about Kyler Murray's future with the organization and a great need at many key positions. Tennessee is intriguing because of Cam Ward at quarterback and the brilliance he flashed at times in his rookie campaign.
The question is whether a team is going to jump at the opportunity to hire Morris or if he is going to have to once again prove himself as an assistant to generate that confidence from league ownership again.
Prediction: Morris joins a team as coordinator, potentially the Rams if defensive coordinator Chris Shula is hired elsewhere
Rams Coordinators Gaining Interest

Speaking of Chris Shula, the current Rams defensive coordinator, is garnering attention as a head coaching candidate.
NFL insider Tom Pelissero reported that the Miami Dolphins have requested to interview Shula for their head coaching vacancy.
The 39-year-old assistant coach is the grandfather of the Dolphins' legendary Hall of Famer, Don Shula, who guided the team to two Super Bowl wins, including one at the end of the only perfect season in NFL history in 1972.
Shula has worked wonders with the Rams defense since taking over the defense in 2024. The team has demonstrated a bend-but-don't-break identity, giving up yards, but coming with big stops in key moments.
Look no further than Saturday's playoff victory over Carolina, when he dialed up the right pressures at the right time to snuff out any chance the Panthers had of a comeback in the final seconds of the game.
His defense ranked 10th in the league in points allowed in the regular season, yielding just 20.4 per game to opposing offenses.
Shula is not the only Rams coach to receive head coaching interest, with Adam Schefter of ESPN noting that offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur and passing game specialist Nate Scheelhaase are also expected to receive interviews around the league.
Prediction: Shula is hired by Miami if John Harbaugh signs elsewhere; LaFleur stays in Los Angeles, while Scheelhasse joins another team as offensive coordinator
Latest on Mike McDaniel

Pelissero also reported that former Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel is staying busy, with head coaching interviews in Tennessee and Cleveland on the docket for the 40-year-old.
The report also indicates that McDaniel will have offensive coordinator interest from teams.
McDaniel was 35-33 in his time in Miami and took the Dolphins to the playoffs twice, where he went 0-2.
His final season with Miami was filled with drama, with Tyreek Hill wanting out (then not) and a deteriorating relationship with starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa that ended with the former first-round draft pick benched by the end of the season, then expressing that he would be open to a fresh start elsewhere.
That drama, coupled with a 7-10 record, was all management needed to recognize the need for a change.
Now with a fresh start of his own, it will be interesting to see if McDaniel wants back in as a head coach, with a chance to transform a team like Tennessee or Cleveland, both of whom have exciting young, potential stars at the quarterback position.
He has already
Prediction: McDaniel gets a head coaching gig, with Cleveland being the more intriguing option of the two announced interviews
