
Phillies' Kyle Schwarber Attends Indiana vs. Oregon CFP Semifinal Game on Video
Philadelphia Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber, who played baseball at Indiana for three seasons, attended the Hoosiers' College Football Playoff semifinal game against Oregon on Friday evening at the Peach Bowl.
Schwarber, who has played 11 years in the bigs, just enjoyed his best season yet, amassing a National League-high 56 home runs and an MLB-high 132 RBI. He made his third All-Star Game and finished second in the NL MVP race behind Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani.

Unsurprisingly, he starred as a Hoosier as well. Schwarber was a freshman All-American in 2012 and a NCBWA first-team All-American in 2013, when Indiana made its lone College World Series appearance in program history. The Chicago Cubs selected Schwarber fourth overall in the 2014 MLB draft.
