Bo Bichette Offered Free Steak for Life at Restaurant if He Signs Blue Jays Contract in MLB FA

Timothy RappJan 8, 2026

Bo Bichette remains one of the biggest names remaining on the free-agent market. And at least one steakhouse is willing to go to serious lengths to keep him in Toronto.

Animl Steakhouse has offered the star infielder free steaks for life if he re-signs with the Toronto Blue Jays.

"When we found out that he became a free agent and he's contemplating different offers, we said let's come up with something crazy," INK Entertainment CEO Charles Khabouth, which operates Animl Steakhouse & Cocktail Den, told Denny Alfonso of The Athletic. "... It's something we did just so that, you know, we can make it more interesting for him. ... How much the city cares about him being on board. We wanted to be close to this man, and we wanted to sort of tell him how much we appreciate how far he took the team."

Toronto has some competition, however, with plenty of reports linking Bichette to a number of teams already.

The 27-year-old hit .311 with 18 home runs, 94 RBI, 78 runs and a .840 OPS across 139 games, helping to lead the Blue Jays to a World Series. He'll get a major contract no matter where he signs, but a Toronto reunion would also include a whole lot of steak.
