Ravens Rumors on Kliff Kingsbury, Matt Nagy, Brian Flores Interviews, Updated List of HC Targets

Julia StumbaughJan 17, 2026

The Baltimore Ravens are eyeing many elite offensive and defensive coordinators to replace Jim Harbaugh after firing him on Jan. 6 after missing the playoffs in his 18th season with the team.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the Ravens will interview Jacksonville Jaguars defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile on Monday.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that the Ravens will "likely" interview Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady on Sunday.

Baltimore also requested an interview with San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh, according to Schefter.

Both Nagy, a former Chicago Bears head coach, and Flores, who previously led the Miami Dolphins, will enter their interviews with NFL head coaching experience.

While coaches on still-active teams will be limited in interview availability during the playoffs, Flores will be available after the Vikings followed up a 14-win season behind Sam Darnold in 2024 by missing the playoffs with J.J. McCarthy and Carson Wentz in 2025.

Despite Minnesota's struggles on offense last season, the team finished the campaign ranked third in the NFL in total defensive yards and seven in points allowed per game.

Nagy is meanwhile available to speak with teams after the Chiefs missed the playoffs for the first time in 11 seasons. He has been targeted by the Tennessee Titans, Las Vegas Raiders and Arizona Cardinals, per CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones.

The Chiefs OC has previous head coaching experience with the Chicago Bears, where he was named Coach of the Year after a 12-win first season with the team in 2018.

Nagy was ultimately fired after a 6-11 finish to the 2021 campaign, leaving the franchise with a 34-31 regular-season record and losses in two playoff appearances.

The Ravens could be hoping Nagy's experience with playoff wins since then could help the franchise recover from a disappointing 2025 campaign.

Nagy joined the Chiefs as their quarterbacks coach in 2022 and worked with Mahomes during Kansas City's run to Super Bowl LVII.

He was promoted to offensive coordinator ahead of the 2023 campaign, which the Chiefs finished ranked ninth in the NFL in overall offensive yards before winning a second straight Super Bowl.

Despite dipping in the league's offensive rankings in 2024, the Chiefs made a third straight Super Bowl appearance the following season before crashing out of postseason contention in 2025 amid offensive struggles and Mahomes' season-ending injury.

Nagy hasn't been the sole play caller for the Chiefs, who have historically leaned on head coach Andy Reid for calls.

Rapoport and Tom Pelissero previously reported for NFL Network that it is possible Nagy would leave "to take over as a primary play-caller elsewhere" should he not get hired as a head coach ahead of the 2026 season.

Should Nagy ultimately leave Kansas City, the Chiefs will hope a fresh start with a new offensive leader will help Mahomes bounce back after his return from next fall.
