John Harbaugh's Top NFL Landing Spots After Reportedly Being Fired as Ravens HC
In a major shakeup, the Baltimore Ravens reportedly have fired head coach John Harbaugh after 18 seasons.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that multiple league sources said that Harbaugh "now is expected to become the top head-coaching candidate in this hiring cycle."
With that in mind, the New York Giants, Las Vegas Raiders and Atlanta Falcons would be among the top landing spots for Harbaugh this offseason.

The Giants were the only team besides the Tennessee Titans to make an in-season coaching change, firing Brian Daboll following a 2-8 start. Soon after Harbaugh's firing from the Ravens, NFL insider Jordan Schultz linked him to the Big Blue. Going to New York would put the 63-year-old in charge of the development of rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart.
The Raiders and Falcons fired Pete Carroll and Raheem Morris, respectively, at the end of the season. Both teams failed to live up to their own expectations this year, but they present intriguing situations for prospective head coaches.
Las Vegas will have the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL draft, giving it the chance to select a franchise quarterback like 2025 Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza. Atlanta has impressive talent on both sides of the ball and ended the 2025 season with four straight wins.
Harbaugh had a career record of 180-113 in Baltimore and led the team to a Super Bowl title in 2012. He's made 12 playoff appearances with just three seasons finishing below .500.
Any team in need of a new head coach would be wise to make a strong offer to Harbaugh, but it's clear that there will be a lot of competition for his services this offseason.
