Maxx Crosby Trade Predicted by NFL Exec amid Raiders Drama, Injury Controversy

Andrew PetersJan 6, 2026

Maxx Crosby reportedly could be on his way out of Las Vegas this offseason.

Per ESPN's Kalyn Kahler and Ryan McFadden, a personnel executive for another team said he thinks the Raiders' star defensive end is "done in Vegas." The exec added that Crosby is "a pretty principled dude."

Crosby, who signed a massive three-year, $106.5 million extension last offseason, was shut down for the final two games because of a knee injury that will require surgery, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Crosby reportedly was not a fan of that move, as Fox Sports' Jay Glazer reported that Crosby "vehemently disagreed" with the decision and left the Raiders' facility after learning about it.

With tensions seemingly running high between Crosby and the organization, The Athletic's Dianna Russini reported earlier this week that people around the league believe Las Vegas will be open to a trade for Crosby if the two sides can't mend their "strained" relationship.

Raiders general manager John Spytek downplayed the recent trade rumors on Monday.

"I love Maxx," he told reporters. "He embodies what a Raider is. I've been pretty up front with that from the day I sat up here a year ago and I continue to believe that."

Crosby, 28, is coming off a season in which he recorded 73 tackles, 10 sacks, two forced fumbles and an interception in 15 games.
