ACT YOUR AGE, NOT YOUR SHOE SIZE!

     Mention the phrase "AIR JORDAN" and watch the reaction you get. The young and old alike know who the admiral Air Jordan is. We can quote his stats from college as well as from his NBA years. So why is it that on the night that he receives one of the greatest and most sought after awards that any athlete would give his  for; does Air Jordan show that no matter how old you are, you can still act like a bully in Junior High School. He had a responsibility to stand up to the legacy that he himself created, to fans both young and old, but he failed miserably.

      Mr. Jordan was introduced as the greatest player ever and he stood before all still settling grudges. He totally ignored people who had a lot to do with getting him where he is today in his career like his personal trainer Tom Grover. He even went so far as to put down his own family by stating, " I wouldn't want to be you guys." Come on Michael, you did not get where you are today on your own merit. It took the coaches, your family, your friends, personal trainers, your fans, and yes even your enemies to place you in the area of your career where you are today.

     The people who knows Jordan made the excuse of, " That's just the way Michael is." I say that is not an excuse. Rudeness is never and excuse no matter who you are. Why did he feel the need to drudge up old grievances from his rookie career, let alone from when he was in high school. Come on Michael it's past time for you to grow up. You need to pay more attention to your team and less time on the golf course. The next time you are bestowed an honor like this, if ever, take it as that and not as a time to show that no matter how old you get you still don't mature.
